New lifestyle focused commercial photography from London commercial photographer Mat Quake. The shots taken here feature pieces from Krausz Jewellery’s contemporary, fashion led limited editions. We went and shot these at Nonsuch Mansion in Surrey, a beautiful period property with a contemporary feel, and ideal backdrop for the style and narrative. Most of the shots were taken using natural light and reflectors. A few frames to share.

A recent commission from Citigate Dewe Rogerson took me on an initial location hunt to find an interesting spot to shoot Michelle Mone. It had to be a small business with a unique feel. I came across an interesting little store in Smithfield Market which was ideal. Michelle was to be associated with a PR campaign for their client Capital One, who had partnered with the Daily Mirror to develop an innovative competition to appeal to the UK’s small businesses. New portrait photography from london editorial portrait photographer Mat Quake. Jake Morley approached me to take some portrait photographs of him for publicity associated with the launch of his debut album ‘Many Fish To Fry’ – now in the shops. I gladly took up the offer. Jake is one of the most easy going people you’ll meet and was pretty much up for anything on the day. So we got him balancing on his guitar with a hammer in hand (he hammers beats on his guitar as he plays and it’s inspiring to watch, not with an actual hammer!). A few frames enclosed.

A new commission from Citigate Dewe Rogerson for their client Capital One, where I was briefed to photograph a round table discussion about the importance of microbusinesses, with keynote speakers Anne Marie Morris MP and Julian Smith MP. The photographs would be used to support an editorial drive into key UK media, to generate coverage for a current economic hot topic.

I was recently commissioned to develop a series of contemporary, corporate portrait photographs featuring the new team at Newgate PR in London. They wanted a slick, uncluttered, modern backdrop to their profile shots. I have passed the Lloyds HQ building on many a commission and it’s right around the corner from where Newgate are based. The chrome pipes on the main outer staircase would form the perfect backdrop It was designed by architect Richard Rogers and built between 1978 and 1986. The building has its services such as staircases, lifts, electrical power conduits and water pipes on the outside, leaving an uncluttered space inside. It’s why it’s sometimes called the ‘inside-out’ building. Thankfully, the team in the communications department were happy for us to use it for a few hours. There are two lights at play here, a speedlight to lift the pipework and a Bowens studio light, housing a beauty dish, as the main key light.
