PR Photographer London captures the Internet Explorer 8 Life Academy final, a national competition launched to give 18-25 year olds a chance to explore their future potential and win a £10,000 grant to make their socially responsible idea a reality. Shortlisted ideas included building schools in Kenya; flying old hospital equipment to Uganda; providing careers information for young people; creating green energy from footsteps or providing a politics platform for aspiring councillors. Twelve finalists were shortlisted on 15 June 2010 to pitch their idea to make the world a better place live in front of a high profile panel of judges consisting of figures from the business, online and media world including Professor Robert Winston, Professor of Science and Society at Imperial College London. Three finalists were picked on the day, each receiving a £10,000 grant to bring their ideas to life. The events took place at 3 Monkeys’ offices in Soho where I was required to take formal profile shots of all the candidates and judges as well as capture a series of photographs from all the presentations and capturing the responses from winning candidates for a feature in the Telegraph. The three shots featured in this post include a group photo of the candidates, the moment the good news was revealed to one of the winners and the three finalists which all appeared in the business supplement of the Daily Telegraph.

Awards Photography | The Lawyer Awards 2010 | Grosvenor House
A huge annual event at the Grosvenor House was one of the most challenging award evenings I have shot. It was my role to take natural awards photography, capturing the event and attendees with a list of approximately 60 specific individuals that the client wanted photographed aat the venue. With camera, names and a table plan to hand the photography needed to be conducted effectively and efficiently to allow time to complete this task whilst also covering reaction and winners of all the awards. I love this venue, it’s always a pleasure to shoot there. Over 500 images were supplied to the client the next day. Here are just a few of the more reportage style photographs.
